Inattentive driving is a major issue that puts the lives of many people at risk every year. Attempting to perform other tasks while driving is not exclusive to just one age group of drivers; however, a high number of teenagers are stated to make potentially destructive decisions while behind the wheel, putting their own lives and the lives of others at risk. This includes texting while driving and using mobile devices in other ways.

According to the Fort Worth based car crash attorneys of 1-800-CAR-WRECK, it is important that parents discuss with their teens the risks involved in not remaining focused while driving. Statistics show that driving with their peers in many cases influences teenagers1 to engage in several activities that take their focus off of the road. Cell phones, music, food, and playful antics are driver distractions that are linked to a number of serious car accidents involving teens each year.
