Jeremy Kokenes is the Executive Director at Eberstein Witherite, LLP where his major role is assisting the Managing Partner, Amy Witherite, in leading the business with strategic planning, organizational efficiencies and long-term business development and growth.
Prior to Eberstein Witherite, Jeremy was the Vice President of Operations at a startup, private-flight sharing company where he oversaw all operations at their Dallas Headquarters and outstation locations. He was also the driving force behind the Operational Center, which served as the hub overseeing all flight operational activities. His skills and leadership were instrumental in building highly functional teams, and synchronizing teams of teams to accomplish the organization’s primary mission and goals.
Before entering the business world, Jeremy had a highly successful career serving in the United States Air Force, primarily in Special Operations, for over 21 years. During this time, he led organizations at multiple levels, commanding squadrons and directing numerous combat operations during his ten deployments spanning five continents. In his most recent role, Jeremy served as Director of Operations for the Department of Defense’s newest Regional Special Operation Command supporting all of North America. He is the recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross, three Bronze Stars, Air and Aerial Achievement Medals and other meritorious awards. The organizations he led have been recognized numerous times as “Best in Air Force” and “Best in Department of Defense”.
Jeremy is a graduate Trinity University, in San Antonio, Texas, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and was a 4-year NCAA Basketball lettermen and team captain. He later achieved his Master of Science in Management and attended post-graduate courses in operational and strategic leadership at the US Army Command and General Staff College and US Air Force Air University. He and his wife of nearly 23 years, Lorien, are proud of their three wonderful children and grateful to be back in Texas. Jeremy enjoys his family, serving in church, mentoring youth and coaching youth sports, and working on their hobby farm in Argyle.
